The vigilante group in Nigeria is supporting the Nigerian military in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency.
Men of the vigilante (Civilian Joint Task Force, JTF) have arrested a Boko Haram kingpin, Jarasu Shira in Damboa, Borno state.
Shira, who was reportedly on his way to Lagos was arrested this morning at about 8.30am at a motor park.
He was arrested along with 10 other suspected members of the sect who escorted him to Damboa to connect a vehicle to Biu enroute to Lagos.
